Frederica Marlow is an abstract textiles designer who is ambitious and diligent. Specialising mainly in woven outcomes, her passion is to create sophisticated designs suitable for a wide variety of interior settings. Frederica uses textiles as a way to communicate her personal investigations, educating a wider audience by delivering unique artwork that provokes thought. Her natural gift of putting colours together makes her samples eye catching leaving her spectators engaged with her style, wanting to see more.
Leaving Your Presence Behind
‘Leaving you presence behind’ was a journey taken to understand the processes that occur through stains you leave behind. Small droplets of your personality are scattered around,leaving a lasting impression wherever you go, allowing stories and memories to be recalled through the sight and texture of the stains. My aim was to develop a collection of fabrics, suitable for stains to be made in a beautiful way, capturing moments and memories in time.
