Luana Brönnimann (she/her) is an artist who loves pearls, plastic flowers, pink and fluffy things. In her artistic practice, she integrates different materials and combines conceptual approaches with video, text, performance, site-specific interventions or installations. For Lua, art is political and an important tool to question values and initiate social transformation. She is interested in unconventional perspectives, bizarre scenarios and hypothetical questions. Lua likes anti-hierarchical structures, fluid transitions, relationship anarchy and queerfeminist theories.
By challenging social norms, this videoperformance questions conventional notions of relationships and love. It prompts viewers to question preconceived ideas and biases surrounding human-AI interactions. The artist‘s act of trying to marry an AI companion challenges societal expectations and opens up a dialogue about the evolving nature of human connections and the boundaries of love in an increasingly technologically influenced world. Through this exploration, the videoperformance encourages critical thinking and reevaluation of established norms, fostering a deeper understanding of the potential for alternative forms of companionship and emotional fulfillment.
