Trying to explore fashion outdoor knitwear
The combination of outdoor and urban clothing is a growing market and consumers are looking for a fashion-led design aesthetic. Many characteristics of knitwear are actually very suitable for outdoor clothing, so I hope to continue to develop fashion outdoor through knitting. This project is about camouflage: in our modern society, due to the increasing pressure brought by the environment of people, more and more people want to escape from the city life to the nature, and camouflage it, and integrate with the nature, absorb energy and nutrients. So, based on the inspiration of different natural environments, such as forests, Gobi beaches and Snow-covered mountains, a series of knitted fabrics have been developed that can hide people in nature, but at the same time, by combining bright colors and technological reflective yarn with camouflage patterns, the individual's expression is not lost. In addition, I also investigated some very functional military uniform designs, and drew inspiration from them and applied them to knitted fabrics, so that these knitted fabrics were not only aesthetic but also functional.
