About

BA Hans Fashion Design with a Placement Year Graduate, graduating in 2024, specialising in Menswear Design

This look book captures the concept of my graduate collection. With photography taken within both a brutalist and studio setting, I hope to engage the viewer with the world that inspired my graduate collections as well as the functionality of the garments.

Apparel Menswear Genderless

Combining Brutalism and the world captured within Dantes Inferno, I have created a collection that embodies my experience over the last two years, since becoming aware of having depression. I have left myself behind over these past two years and haven't processed what's happened. I believe this collection visualises how I reclaimed myself by showing commitment to my experiences and understanding them. This gained understanding has allowed me to find some parts of myself that feel recognisable, I recognise myself now. T.GREEN

GFW SIZE HOMEGROWN COMPETITION

I have based my design inspiration for this graphic around the architectural heritage of my hometown of Birmingham. Dominating the Birmingham skyline since post WW2. Brutalism has been a key characteristic of Birmingham’s Aesthetic. I was inspired by the diverse range of textures, lines and shapes Brutalism provides, as well as what Brutalism reflects upon, such as exposure, necessity, and functionality. This in comparison draws upon the in-depth history of Birmingham’s functional attributes to the world. Birmingham’s has been at the heart of many industries at a global scale, the pen, gun, and automotive industries to name a few. This graphic celebrates Birmingham and its contribution to the world.

Superdry x bcu competition

In collaboration with Superdry brand, I designed an outerwear piece that was selected alongside 4 other students, to make fully for there next campaign. The campaign involved visiting Superdry's headquarters and working with there styling team, to create a bespoke photoshoot in collaboration with Birmingham City University.

gfw x Ellesse design competition 2024

Combining elements from 90s skater culture and skiwear design, my designs for S/S Sartoria range reflect a functional approach combined with casual styles from inspiration of the street, developing a fresh aesthetic that brings street to the slopes. Specifically, within streetwear, the reference to skater culture has been a great influence. Taking silhouettes, graphics, and environments, I have adapted my design references to withhold the functional sport finish of skiwear. The subtle use of colours and tones creates a flamboyant side to the Sartoria collection. The reference of colour originates from the extravagant look of both retro and modern skiwear elements, as well as the creative environments of skater communities. The sense of community and friendship I have experienced through skaters around the city of Birmingham, has inspired me to design a caspule collection that not only exists. within the brand ethos of Ellesse, but to portray the ever-growing sense of belonging within skaters and their sense of style. The flamboyant defiance streetwear has given to many people on all sides of society, has inspired the unique image of this collection. Striving towards inclusitivity, will encrorouge the very same goal that orginated the streetwear style and attitude. Todd Green

Alongside more conceptual photoshoots, I collaborated with a photography, to create a body of imagery that reflects the products I have created as a designer. This product shots, help visualise garment types as well as design drivers within my aesthetic. The goal of this project was to retrieve simple shots that reflected the functionality of fashion.
