Thai-born Swedish raised, that's where I developed a strong admiration for Scandinavian design and craftsmanship. My design philosophy revolves around achieving a balance between form and functionality. Ultimately, I aim to create designs that enhance the user experience and make their day-to-day lives more convenient.
Söndag is a water kettle powered solely by sunlight. To use it, simply fill it with water and place it in a sunny place for 148 minutes, it takes time, but it also promotes slow living and appreciating things in life. With a capacity of 1 liter, it's perfect for brewing a cozy cup of tea to share with someone you care about. While it resembles a traditional water jug from the outside, the kettle's ceramic construction brings it closer to the functionality of a boiler.
The Impact of Natural Sunlight on People from Cold Northern Countries living in regions with less natural sunlight. They can increase the risk of developing Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). Due to the shorter days and lack of sunlight, the body’s circadian rhythm can be altered, resulting in decreased production of happy chemicals and hormones can lead to depression. By sitting in front of the lamp for 30 minutes, the glare from the light tricks the brain into thinking it’s sunny outside and changes the chemical in the brain that lifts the mood and eases other symptoms from Seasonal Affected Disorder.
