About
Noemi Rios is an award-winning illustrator, visual artist, and creative professional with over 20 years of experience spanning illustration, photography, graphic design, branding, and visual storytelling. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where she developed her expertise in concept development, character design, composition, and narrative-driven artwork.
Her creative practice explores the intersection of imagination, storytelling, and design, with work that has been featured through collaborations with organizations including Disney, NPR, Topo Chico, Jack Daniel’s, and the Museum of Latin American Art. Her experience extends across commercial illustration, concept art, publishing, fine art, and tattoo artistry, allowing her to bring a diverse range of perspectives and techniques to every project.
Recognized for her artistic achievements, Noemi has received honors for her work and continues to create art that connects with audiences through emotion, culture, and visual storytelling. She is passionate about inspiring others through creativity, mentorship, and the belief that art has the power to communicate ideas, preserve stories, and build meaningful connections.
This project was made in part for the fulfilment of the Master of Fine Arts degree for the Savannah College of Art and Design. The mark making and detailed rendering resonates to brushstrokes and textures made in traditional oil or acrylic painting. Illustrations are made from a personal IP idea called the Karmic Path. The style is dark, whimsical, and fantasy-driven. The work as a collective is meant to spark curiosity, ignite nostalgia, and be immersive for the viewer.
