Lieu Thi Le (b. 1991, Hong Kong) is an interdisciplinary artist based in Oslo, whose work spans the fields of clothing, materiality, and performance. In spring 2024, she graduated from Oslo National Academy of the Arts with a Masters in Design, specializing in Clothing and Costume. Her creations delve into her Vietnamese heritage, interwoven with influences from Nordic and Asian cultures. Central to her work are the nuances of yellow, which narrate her personal journey of identity, belonging, and spirituality.
Dancing in Tune with Oneself and Others
'Dancing in Tune with Oneself and Others', investigate how seeing the totality of own artist practise and creative process can cultivate mindfulness. By shifting the focus from singularity to totality, Le started to notice what has been left unnoticed in her daily environment, While questioning the value of these seemingly worthless leftovers and their potential for transitioning and transformation. Since autumn, Le has been weaving with leftover yarns, collected from factories in Norway and dyeing them with plants found in the near-by surrounding environment. The outcome is consisting of textile sculptures, metamorphosing from one form to another.

Global Creative Graduate Showcase 2024
CAPSULE are made-to-order pieces produced in-house in Norway. For the first season the focus is on natural dyed silk pieces and fitted pieces made of 100% regenerated nylon. 
LOUNGE are timeless loungewear pieces to be used day & night, made in 100% silk satin. Produced overseas with GOTS certified factory, meaning the product is sourced, processed and manufactured sustainably from start to finish.
