About

Hello! I am a recent graduate from Leeds Arts university completing a degree in BA (Hons) Textile design!

About me as a designer:
I specialise in a range of different concepts, from hand painted florals to digital geometrics, allowing me to have the ability to be a dynamic and flexible designer who can adapt to many different approaches within design.

The intentions behind my work is to evoke feelings of joy and happiness, particularly through colour. I hold a strong belief that design should be used to benefit mental health and wellbeing.

My work is driven by observation and the spaces that surround me, as well as working closely alongside trends and aligning myself with the current markets. I have a keen eye for colour, primarily striking, bold palettes are the driving force behind my ideas and design choices. I can also work with both traditional/hand drawn methods, specifically gouache, as well as being particularly confident in using CAD programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Fresco. Being a versatile designer, I am able to adapt to many different consumers and markets, whilst also being experimental within my own design style.

‘Maximal Abundance’ celebrates maximalist design, moving away from minimalism to create stimulating, conversation-starting patterns that evoke excitement and joy. This collection features three iconic concepts; hand-painted gouache florals, bold geometric shapes, and blurred watercolour animal prints. The juxtaposed patterns find harmony through a cohesive colour palette. Electric lime greens complement galactic navy blues, whilst bubble-gum pinks harmonise with neutral pale yellows. Balancing neutrals, brights, and mid-tones, Maximal Abundance offers a vibrant, seamless clash of patterns.

'Urban Impressions' is a stationery/gift and greetings collection that pays homage to the rich diversity of architecture within Leeds. Drawing inspiration from the city’s skyline, sleek lines and bold shapes are derived from the modern structures in the heart of the centre, and are collaged with the intricate, frottaged details taken from the historical landmarks found all over the city. The collection has a strong focus on bold statement pieces translated directly through the colour palette. Cattleya orchid, dazzling blue and bright marigold come together to create key components of each collaged, mono printed design.
