About
From young, I have always been intrigued by the function of everyday products. This led me to explore various ways of making and eventually brought me into industrial design. I believe every aspect of design has a purpose, from aesthetics & function to interactions between users, and I intend to channel this mindset to inspire positive change.
Hearing sensitivity is commonly faced by individuals suffering from ADHD, Autism or other neurodevelopmental disorders. This causes a significant impact on their daily life, from general concentration for completing activities to pain or discomfort. A common way to solve this issue is through hearing protection, however they cause users to become reliant on these devices, and over time develop further sensitivity. Therefore, This concept intends to passively reduce the volume of specific frequencies of sound that the user finds disturbing, to expose the user to most sounds at a more manageable volume.
