Menswear designer. Specialising in custom pieces for VIP clients under my own label Joseph Brimicombe One of One, as well as research, development and creative efforts for various other as consultant/designer.
FW24 - The end is never - graduate collection
My BA graduate collection for University of Westminster, entitled "the end is never". A phrase that can be infinitely repeated, representing a paradox that proposes both futility and hope, as well as a nod to the circularity that many of the garments in my work embody. A reflection on what I’ve learnt, lost and re-discovered as a designer. Layered looks feature hard-wearing denim, drill and jersey fabrics softened with bold and distinctive knitwear. Detailed outerwear surfaces are created using techniques such as laser-engraving and smocking, building further dynamic dimensions.
