About
Synopsis: Lik is an international student from China. When she first comes to London two years ago, she feels like an outsider, wandering the streets with a sense of alienation. Gradually, she notices others around her with similar struggles. Thus, she founds the Asian art community "Lucky Pot." In Lucky Pot, they eat, sleep, and create together. The bizarre performance art is their attempt to unravel the knots in their hearts. In the unfamiliar environment, Lik builds her own home with her friends. Lik is like a key; you may not have experienced the same story as she, but she can unlock the soul, leading the audience to see those drifting in a foreign land.
Director’s bio: Jianghan Zhao is a drama and documentary filmmaker. She graduated with Documentary Film (MA) at UAL in 2024 and completed Film and Television major (BA) at Hong Kong Baptist University in 2022. She tells the story of ordinary people’s inner world and likes to capture their sensitive emotions hidden in the big city in innovative ways.
