I’m passionate about creating solutions that are not only innovative but also deeply rooted in the real needs and behaviors of users.
As a Cecilia Grierson Award recipient for Women in STEMM 2023, I’m dedicated to addressing the significant gender biases in the industry. My mission is to contribute to a more inclusive and diverse design landscape, ensuring that products, services, and cities are shaped by a broader perspective.
"Shaping HerCity" tackles the issue of male-centric urban design that often neglects the safety and inclusion of women and LGBTQ+ communities. This project aims to create urban spaces where these groups feel safe, empowered, and fully engaged. Using multidisciplinary research, we developed three key solutions: the Safe Space Award for inclusive venues, the "Stop It!" interaction card for non-confrontational harassment response, and a digital platform for mapping safe spaces and building support networks. By bridging physical and digital experiences, "Shaping HerCity" fosters community participation, promotes safer environments, and drives a cultural shift towards inclusivity in city planning.
