Carolin Cécile Hillebrand is a trained goldsmith and studied jewellery and product design in Germany.
She completed her training in a goldsmith's studio in Düsseldorf in 2016 and then worked as a goldsmith for three years. In 2022, she obtained her bachelor's degree in product and jewellery design at the Peter Behrens School of Arts in Düsseldorf. She completed her Master's degree in the same programme in 2024.
For Carolin Cécile, jewellery is not just an accessory, but a way of expressing her own personality and style. All her jewellery is handmade.
„Nothing is art if it does not come from nature.“ (Antoni Gaudí) In my Master's thesis, I drew inspiration from nature's diverse forms and colors, particularly the wave shape, which became a key design element in my work. By observing natural structures, I developed lightweight, textile-based jewelry that not only offers visual beauty but also functional and sustainable benefits. The jewelry pieces are comfortable to wear and can be easily cleaned in a washing machine. This exploration of nature's designs has been both enjoyable and influential, shaping my future creative endeavors.
