About
I am a product and furniture designer based in London, UK. My practice is grounded in utilitarian principles, prioritising functionality through simplicity. I adopt a hands-on approach to design, exploring material qualities and refining concepts through prototyping. I have developed strong practical skills in woodworking and metalworking, along with experience in CAD programs and 3D printing, I bring an iterative, maker-driven process to all of my work.
A domestic side chair that is able to fit easily within a box. The chair is constructed from parts that can be dismantled into it's component parts, fitting into a box that is hand-held. Making it easy to transport from warehouse, to shop, to home. This project transformed into an investigation into stability from disassembling component parts. Refining the chair's form through its function as a disassembling product. Working within the constraints of disassembly, the chair's design process explored structural and manufacturing possibilities evolving from welded frames to a bolted frame celebrating the satisfaction and accomplishment of self-assembly.
