About
As a visual designer, my research explores the intersection of empathy and digital art, aiming to enhance our understanding of human-computer interaction and emotional engagement, especially given the rise of Artificial Intelligence and its potential to shift the current understanding of creative disciplines, and of ourselves.
Mind-video technology prompts the study of the phenomenology of visual imagery with eyes closed, examining states such as entoptic phenomena, migraine auras and the effects of mind-altering substances by merging aspects of neuroscience and computer arts. Drawing on empirical studies, firsthand accounts, and interdisciplinary research, I seek to deepen the understanding of esthetic mental imagery and to provide an artistic lens of the subjectivity of visual hallucinations. This research aims to explore the potential implications of these experiences for artistic expression, mental health, personal growth, and our understanding of consciousness itself.
