With an intra-disciplinary practice that exists in multi-work installation, Suzi Bratt writes, paints, photographs and sculpts her way into speculative futures and psychedelic nostalgias. Using abstraction, symbols and pop culture motifs she tells stories that explore contemporary notions of identity, perception and control. Her work is interested in speculative fiction and fantasy world building with an aestheticism that hints at psychedelic nostalgia.Her ongoing practice haunts the wet sands and decaying glitz of British seaside towns, examining the palimpsest of identities and otherworldly stories that exist between the flashing lights and boardwalk planks.Bratt is currently studying MA Contemporary Art Practice at the Royal College of Art and living on a narrowboat on London’s canals.
