My work, which recently earned the Impact Award and a studio space at The Mills Fabrica during the Tex Plus exhibition, and was shortlisted twice for the Only Natural Design Competition, is deeply rooted in my connection with nature and the environment. This relationship inspires all my designs, focusing on organic forms that translate into textile samples. These samples mirror the repeating patterns and ethereal qualities found in nature. Sustainability, circularity and heritage are the foundations of my designs. I balance an environmentally kind lifestyle with innovative techniques, using paper yarns, dead stock materials, and locally sourced wool. My textile samples advocate for a simple, organic relationship with nature, encouraging a mindful and conscious approach to place.
