About
I am a Singaporean designer currently based in Glasgow, Scotland. I take a systematic, critical and purposeful approach to design. Creative problem solving, research and visual experimentation drive my work. I have a keen interest in typography and publication design, but my practice also includes art direction, type design, identity systems, digital design and motion design.
The typeface is inspired by the Spider Lily, a flower native to Latin America, but commonly found in many tropical regions around the world. The specimen showcases the intricate details of the Spider Lily typeface. It was designed to emulate the organic and sprawling nature of tropical plants using two-colour risograph printing.
