Luke Harris is a designer based in Bristol. He holds a first class degree in Product design technology from the University of the West of England and has experience in Product, Graphic, Motion, Branding and User interface design. From 2022/23 he spent 12 months working in London for both Pavegen [a design and tech startup focusing on energy generation through kinetic floor tiling] and Forpeople [a well-established global brand consultancy]. During this time he worked with brands such as Coca-Cola, Huawei, Logitech, Kia and more to develop both product and digital design work. Luke believes that strong design blends work from multiple disciplines while maintaining a consistent visual narrative.
An exploration of domestic utility usage through the lens of human-computer interaction Spatial realities feature a set of sculptural objects. Each represents one of the three household utilities - gas, water and electric. In the physical world, these objects perform simple ornamental and practical applications However, In the augmented space the objects serve as prompts for data-driven experiences. The concept uses the idea of offloading objects of utility to the virtual realm while allowing the physical domestic space to focus on beautiful, decorative objects.
