I’m a third-year textile student at Arts University Bournemouth. I specialises in print and embroidery for fashion and my designs aim to intrigue and inspire. With a love for vivid colours and intricate embellishments, I incorporate detailed illustrations into my textiles, drawing influence from diverse cultures, historical context and floral elements. I want to push the limits of traditional textile design with innovative techniques and delicate artistry. Arts Thread offers me the opportunityto share my ideas with a global audience and develop the flourishing field of textile.
Influenced by the extravagant allure of the Rococo era, my final major project attempts to reimagine the grandeur of eighteenth-century France through a contemporary prism. I aim to capture the intricate beauty of Rococo fashion and art while acknowledging the chaotic, regency of Marie Antoinette's time. By fusing traditional motifs with modern techniques like digital embroidery and print, I aspire to craft textiles that evoke the opulent essence of the Rococo period.To convey the project's whimsical and dreamy aesthetic, I have taken inspiration from designers such as Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen
