About

Hi, I am a fashion designer born in Latvia. I graduated with a BA in Fashion Design and Technology for Womenswear in 2024. At the tender age of eight, my grandmother introduced me to the world of craftsmanship and sewing. My aesthetics focus on offering a fresh perspective on heritage-inspired fashion that celebrates both the past and the present.

"The collection 'Reverie' is inspired by the vivid memories of my childhood in Latvia and the deep influence of my grandmother and our heritage." At the tender age of eight, she introduced me to the world of sewing and craftsmanship during the summers we spent together in the countryside. Through the research process, I was inspired by my grandmother's role as a volleyball team captain. This inspiration led me to develop a personal process of dissecting volleyball. The shape and construction became a pivotal exploration, influencing the transformation of traditional garments into modern, timeless classics with unique structural details. I applied a crochet technique to connect small leather pieces into a jacket, mimicking the structure of a volleyball net. I also found inspiration in my grandmother's wardrobe, utilizing her garments as archetypes for my designs. The goal of my collection is to blend tradition with modernity, offering a fresh perspective on heritage-inspired fashion that celebrates both the past and the present. With deep respect for my heritage and craftsmanship, I aim to link the traditional with a modern twist.
