"Progress and Harmony for mankind"
Marking the first world Expo to be held in Asia, Osaka Expo 70 explored the theme of "Progress and Harmony for Mankind" inviting all nations to share their history and progressive ideas for the future of the human race. This collection continues to follow this theme, imagining the future of fashion as we face new challenges in the next chapter of humankind, nearly 54 years on since Expo 70. Understanding how old garments and textiles can be reworked into something new through problem solving, leading the way for a progressive mindset that builds harmony for both the human race and our planet.
