About
Sean Peacock is an illustrator, comic artist, and downright menace born and raised in Dearborn, Michigan. After an awkward stint at a local Catholic high school, he studied illustration at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit.
Since 2019, he has been creating comics such as Peppermint Desert, ROX, and the serialized webcomic, Fogg. His work is driven by a love for music, heart, and weird old things.
When he's not drawing, you can find him reading this Wednesday’s comics, looking for new music, and walking the town with his earbuds in (do NOT approach if you find him during this time).
PEPPERMINT DESERT is a surreal action-adventure road trip through hell. It's the story of Mickey and Saturday, two bandits who always seem to have luck on their side. Their dumb luck has bought them a trunk full of dollars and a set of wheels that might outrun the Devil himself (and it's gonna have to do just that). They're seeking to turn a new leaf and use their talents to deliver a small fortune to an orphanage smack dab in the middle of a red barren wasteland. Fate has been kind to them, but their luck will run out when they enter the candy-colored hellscape that is the PEPPERMINT DESERT. Peppermint Desert is a 40-page action adventure comic book written and illustrated by myself, Sean Peacock. Over the course of my senior year at the College for Creative Studies, I wrote the story, developed the characters, and conceptualized the surreal, americana-infused world of the book. The artwork was pencilled and inked traditionally with a sable brush and zebra brush pens, and then finished digitally. After graduating, I got a limited-edition 100-copy print run made through my local printer and self-published the book by selling it at local comic book stores and promoting it via a social media campaign.
