About

My name is Matilde ad I am 21 years old. My project “parallel passions” talks about the union of two passions: the passion for the ski world and for the fashion world specifically for the accessories. In my life I always practiced skiing in a professional level, participating into national competitions around Europe. Today I decided to transform my passion into one of the most beautiful jobs, during my free time I work as a skiing instructor. For this project I tried to assemble this two passion by grabbing materials of the skiing world and use them for my bags as closures, handles or simply as an esthetic detail. This materials are grabbed by old ski boots that couldn’t be used anymore, through this project I wanted to give a second life to this materials transforming its practical use from the ski world to the fashion world.

Accessories

Parallel passions is a project that represent the union of two passions. In my life I always had two strong passions one for the ski world and the other one for the accessories. In this project we will see this two worlds that apparently may seem completely different assembled into one optic. I used materials (recycled) that come from the ski world as closures, handles or as esthetic details for my bags, for the shoes instead , I decided to grab ski boots and transform them into sneakers by applying a vibram footwear sole, my goal was to give it a new refreshing vision of sneakers that can be used.I had the opportunty to collaborate with ROSSIGNOL who has given me all the necessary material and helped Parallel Passions that lived in my head as a dream transform into reality.
