About
Moesha Magagula is Mpumalanga born artist and based in Cape Town, South Africa. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Art at the Michaelis School of Fine Art, The University of Cape Town. She is currently pursuing a Postgraduate in Curatorship. Moesha’s practice intermingles between photography, collage, and embroidery, with a focus on home-making practices and South African domestic aesthetics and identity.
A exploration and reimagining of ideas of intimacy, care, trauma, and interpersonal relationships within the context of family. The work revolves around memory, repair, and reconnection to these ideas. This body of work is contextually set in conversation between myself and family.
