About
I am a London-based ceramic designer and maker, who focuses on responding to a sense of place to create both decorative and functional objects.
This collection was created using my research into the industrial history of Limehouse in East London, and its integral relationship with the Thames. I uncovered a gritty and fascinating history of dock and related nautical crafts such as rope making and pattern making, in the 19th century. By bridging the gap between past and present I invite people to consider and re-evaluate the importance of well-made design in the modern world. The objects stand as a representation of craftsmanship and the timeless allure of functional forms, with the stories they carry.
