Jeannie Rose is a textile designer specialising in mixed media textiles. Her work combines print, digital embroidery, and hand embroidery to create unique pieces that are deeply rooted in storytelling and narrative. She is passionate about exploring the relationship between art and textiles and uses a range of mixed media and print techniques to enhance her pattern work. Jeannie was recently awarded the Liberty Fabrics Studio Prize by the Liberty design team at Tex+, a graduate showcase for the top 25 emerging textile design students
I am a textile design student specialising in mixed media textiles. My particular passion lies in combining digital and hand embroidery processes. I enjoy painting illustrative repeat pattern work, which is then translated into embroidered textiles. Merging traditional methods with digital tools, I experiment with colour and texture, using an eclectic range of threads to enhance my pattern work.
