About
I am a young fashion designer who draws inspiration from everyday objects on which I bring my personal twist, thus giving new meaning to things familiar to us as humans.I rethink the small details, challenge the norm, and look at reality with a critical eye by playing with different proportions, meanings and scales.Enjoy!
My story of coping as a highly sensitive person with the harsh reality governed by heteronormative codes, where any deviance comes at a personal cost, served as a liberating source of inspiration for my final project. I designed a mixed gender collection that is all made out of my original paintings on soft and comforting fabrics such as linen cotton and sponge. The goal is to create a solution for the difficult struggle and alleviate the symptoms, as well as raise social awareness about the challenges these individuals face and gain understanding, empathy and acceptance. The escape to my safe haven is the artistic expression of my feelings, including the duality between the desire for solitude and the simultaneous need to be wrapped in warmth and love.
