'A Manifesto To Construe' is both a reimagination and repackaging of Andre Breton's 1924 Surrealist Manifesto; its experimental and typographic editorial design taking heavy inspiration from surrealist art and techniques. The text actively responds to its own meaning, becoming a part of the environment of each page and transforming into an illegible typeface I created called 'Construe'. The spiral-bound, notepad-like publication is split into the 4 key themes of the original manifesto: from childhood imagination and madness, to dreams and automatic writing. The main publication is accompanied by a smaller concertina version, and posters from / inspired by the interior pages.
