In the speculative project ‘Bubble,’ soap is transformed into a series of temporary sculptures through the fusion of art and design. These pieces symbolize a post-comfort future, where soap takes on new purposes beyond bathing. Inspired by the properties of soap, the designer highlights its untapped potential amid the impending water scarcity crisis. Rather than being merely a detergent, ‘Bubble’ proposes soap as a versatile material. Through material experiments, the concept of temporality — one of its most distinctive properties — guided the author throughout the entire creative process. Using this disappearing material is her way of creating in an age of overproduction without guilt.
