'Twinning' is a fashion-based art project which inspired by the designer's experiences of being an identical twin. This project uses a series of garments and fashion performance to reflect the relationship between twin sisters and develop a further deep connection with the twins. Twins can be described as reversed, mirrored, opposite, separated, positive, and negative. We also repeat, share, and we do everything together. That's all the keywords to lead the design. In this collection, all the garments appear in pairs, using the same pattern but with different techniques. The designer also tried to use x-ray liked print to show the positive and negative aspects of the same object. Some of the garments are worn in multiple ways, either by two people at the same time or by one person, to show that the twins are separate individuals, but when twins stand together will be completed. The entire collection comprises jackets and pleated skirts, and the uniform-like garments are meant to express those who wear uniforms in society, like twins in pairs. Twins are holding each other all the time. Even though they are not physically connected, there is still an invisible connection between them.
This project was a-month- short mini virtual fashion project. Drawing inspiration from the Gothic literary style. It delves into the depths of human emotions, exploring the intricate connection between sorrow and the heart. I hope the project takes audiences on a haunting journey into a realm where pain and beauty intertwine. The whole project is made up of fashion images and I used clo3d to do most of the work, using blender as an assist to start the work. As well, all the rendering was done through clo3d. I wanted the audience to focus more on the techniuques of the digital garments as well as the stories behind.
