About
Wenqi (Alina) Xu is a Chinese illustrator based in New York and Nanjing. She is currently a senior student in the illustration department at SVA. Most of her works are based on ink, watercolor, charcoal, and digital art. In the future, she is going to try etching and more new art approaches to show her artistic talents. She fell in love with art since she was a child. Since her childhood, Alina has experimented with many new art styles. Now she mainly uses black and white, and some more matched colors to decorate her work. Moreover, through her career at SVA, she hopes to bring more art forms and culture from China. Outside of her art-making time, she likes traveling, playing computer games, watching movies, and watching musicals.
The Last Fight is an original story about a family of animals pretending to be fancy Victorian-era humans at dinner time. Still, in the end, everyone gradually lost control of their emotions and turned back to primitive animals.
