About
I'm an illustrator from Hull, based in Edinburgh, with a love of making risograph printed zines that encourage the public to interact with the world around them.
A series of scavenger hunt zines, inspired by my childhood love of spotters guides. Each zine features illustrations based on observational drawings, and are risograph printed with two colours and consistent branding throughout their designs. My intention with this zine series was to invite curiosity with the general public towards their everyday surroundings, getting people outside and looking closer. The choice to theme my zines around graveyards and small towns was inspired by my own experiences growing up in Yorkshire. I wanted to create a zine accessible to people across the UK, where their town or class didn’t dictate their ability to participate. Rather than romanticising a location, or portraying it negatively, I wanted to create a neutral and curious adventure in the hometowns of children and adults alike.
