THE DRAMA is a culminating Master’s project reflecting on a six year journey in Antwerp, a city of tears, laughter, love, and countless gazes. Through masks and armor, protection was built against the eyes of others. Now, stepping forward as maker and director, the works themselves become the protagonists. This project reinterprets fashion the catalyst that brought me to Antwerp through the discipline of jewellery, preserving the fluidity of fabric within rigid materials such as glass and metal. A glass bead mask embodies identity, while a glass breastplate becomes social armor, marked by red bloody stains like garnets. Brass skirts and boots recall the jewellery department, its aprons, heels, and devotion. Forged from wounds and memories, these works mark a final farewell to Antwerp, the Academy, and the department that shaped my artistic journey.
