About
Im a mexican textile & fashion designer who works through emotion and conceptual inquiry, using the body and textile as expressive and narrative raw mediums. My practice explores vulnerability, boundaries, memory, and the traces they leave behind, creating multidisciplinary works that exist between garment, object, and emotional artifact. my work becomes Extensions of the self, and vessels for what cannot be easily expressed.
Grounded in Julia Kristeva’s theory of abjection and the symbolic universe of Silent Hill 2, exploring memory, pain, vulnerability, and bodily transformation through garments.. The collection translates psychological states and emotional experiences into silhouettes, textures, and materials that inhabit the boundary between the familiar and the unsettling. Garments become extensions of the unconscious, vessels of alternate bodies embodying loss, fragility, carnality, illness, and memory. Through a series of archetypal figures known as “verdugos” the collection explores confrontation, punishment, and the buried truths beneath human consciousness. More than a fashion collection, “Murmullo” is a visual and emotional inquiry that challenges conventional ideas of beauty, functionality, and identity, using the grotesque and the abject as tools to understand the body as a territory of memory, conflict, and constant transformation.
