About
I am a First-Class Product and Furniture Design graduate from Kingston University, and an incoming MA Design Products student at the Royal College of Art. I explore how products and experiences can create emotional connections and bring meaning to everyday life. My practice is driven by research into human experiences, emotions, and behaviours. Through projects exploring themes such as time, memory, loneliness, and wellbeing, I investigate how design can gently reshape the way we relate to ourselves, others, and the world around us.
FLOW is a lighting experience designed for people living in high-latitude, overcast, or predominantly indoor environments where access to natural daylight is limited. This can affect energy, emotional wellbeing, and our sense of time. Rather than simply providing illumination, FLOW uses light as an emotional and temporal medium. Cooler tones in the morning evoke energy and alertness, while warmer tones in the evening create calm and comfort. These gradual shifts offer a subtle sense of time throughout the day. At its heart, a gradient-coloured glass bowl slowly rotates over a 24-hour cycle. As light passes through the glass, shifting hues are projected within the cylindrical body, creating subtle transitions inspired by natural daylight. FLOW explores how products can shape emotional experiences, support wellbeing, and communicate care through subtle interactions in everyday life.
