About
My name is Noor Rashid Butt, I am a fresh fashion graduate, from Virginia Commonwealth University Qatar.
Some of my accomplishments include graduating as the class champion of the graduating class of 2023 and designing an innovative sports abaya with nanotechnology which was worn by H.H Shaikha Moza Bint Nasser on National Sports day.
My graduation project, "Noori," draws inspiration from my beloved mother, fondly referred to as my "light." It's a cultural odyssey that reinterprets traditions into a contemporary lens. Influenced by my mother's unique fashion fusion, I aim to connect two heritage-rich traditions, merging old and new craftsmanship with modern flair. This collection resonates with third-culture kids, blending Pakistani and Qatari styles through silhouettes like Kaftans, draped shawls, and 1960s-inspired statement collars.
