This is an autobiography dedicated to the artist, as well as Asian women experiencing an identity crisis. Yellow-skinned, opaque, cheaply-made, catering to the Western, feminine shape, it was a projection of myself while it was the opposite of my nature. Taking the fortune cookie, which originated in California, US, in the 1920s and gradually became the symbol of Chinese culture, as a projection of their identity crisis as an Asian woman, the artist confessed the confusion in multiple aspects: the intergeneration gap, the shared physical and mental experience as a female, and how they are facing the gaze of post-colonialism, catering to the Western audience, in an era of a polarized society.
