Alcohol consumption has been integrated into society since it was first discovered, it quite literally has always been the support crutch for social settings. Thus, to understand why this may be the case, it is important to look at societal, sociological, and historical stances surrounding the key topic of alcohol and its consumption. My aim was to investigate three main subjects within this area: binge drinking, peer pressure, and the history of alcohol, all specific to the UK drinking culture. It is important to highlight excessive drinking and its perception of normality. Drinking alcohol is so engrained into our lives, and that it will always be a part of our lives. It is now time to figure out a way in which it is done so in a healthier, regulated manner. Thus, I intend to create a revolutionary space to enjoy a tipple, respectfully.
