About
Marko Đurić was born on 22 October 2000 in Podgorica, Montenegro.
In 2015, he enrolled at "Slobodan Škerović" Gymnasium in Podgorica, graduating in 2019 with excellent academic performance and receiving the prestigious "Luča" Diploma, awarded to outstanding high school graduates.
In the same year, he enrolled in the Integrated Academic Programme in Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Montenegro, in Podgorica.
During his studies, he participated in numerous workshops and student seminars, as well as national and regional architectural competitions and exhibitions in the student category.
In November 2022 and November 2023, he participated in the Piran Days of Architecturein the student projects category.
In December 2023, he received the Student Award of the Capital City of Podgorica in recognition of his outstanding academic achievement during his final year of studies.
He defended his Master's thesis in November 2025.
He is fluent in English and Russian
ARTICULATION OF URBAN EDGES – REACTIVATING THE RIBNICA AS pODGORICA'S URBAN CLASP
This project explores the revitalization of the Ribnica River corridor in Podgorica through the concept of urban clasps—a system of connectors, attractors, programmatic links, and memory nodes that reconnect the river with the surrounding urban fabric. Although located in the city centre, the Ribnica remains physically and perceptually isolated despite its strong spatial and historical significance. The proposed interventions strengthen pedestrian connections, create new public spaces, and reinterpret places of collective memory while responding to the specific character of different river sections. The project re-establishes the Ribnica as Podgorica's continuous green corridor and an integral element of the city's ecological, social, and cultural identity.
