About
I'm Mariana, a Colombian designer who's been living in Germany since 2019. I'm really into design, colors, textures, and anything that reminds me of the beautiful country I'm from.
I'm curious, open to new challenges, and love working with others to come up with creative solutions that really connect with people. I truly believe that design can make our everyday lives better.
This project was born out of a desire to connect Colombia and Germany through design. I developed a piece of furniture that is not only aesthetically appealing, but also reflects the potential of both countries. Traditional, contemporary, and innovative is the motto of this project. Colombian and German influences are combined in a single design. Migration promotes cultural exchange and opens up completely new possibilities. This chair builds a bridge between both cultures, and its design clearly shows how integration becomes an experience that explores both traditions and new paths.

Global Creative Graduate Showcase 2025
Guacamaya is a chair designed with the leftover materials (PMMA) and besides its function as a chair, also aims to show the Colombian roots, the richness of colors and patterns found in the craftsmanship of this country. As a handicraft product, the Guacamaya was precisely designed and assembled piece by piece to ensure the perfection of the result.
