Malak Yahia is a graphic and motion designer based in Barcelona. Originally from Cairo, she graduated from IED Barcelona's Motion Graphics program in 2026. Her work spans motion graphics, brand systems, and editorial design. Moving fluidly between digital and print, from concept to final output.
She brings a sharp eye for visual systems, a strong command of motion and animation, and hands-on experience across commercial production contexts. Whether it's a brand identity, a motion campaign, or a publication, she works with precision and speed without losing sight of the idea behind it.
Ananke is a six-screen digital installation that examines how contemporary capitalism operates as a labyrinth — a structure designed to restrict perspective while presenting that restriction as the natural order of things. Six Western canonical paintings are recomposed through glitch aesthetics, ASCII typography, and procedural particle animation. Each screen contains a hidden word the viewer must find and enter into a CAPTCHA interface to proceed. When all six are answered, everything falls. From the debris, one phrase assembles across all six screens. فَأَيْنَ تَذْهَبُونَ — so where are you going. The argument is not new. The labyrinth has existed for four thousand years. The critique of power has been named for centuries. This project does not reveal something hidden. It returns something forgotten.
