About
I am a jewellery designer from China with a strong interest in exploring new materials and pushing the boundaries of traditional techniques. My work is driven by experimentation and a desire to discover unexpected outcomes through hands-on making. I enjoy working with both familiar and unconventional processes, aiming to create jewellery that is thoughtful, innovative, and reflective of an evolving relationship between material, form, and wearer.
The project explores jewellery as a living extension of the marine cycle. Using fish scale bioplastic—a biodegradable material developed from discarded fish waste—I transform overlooked residue into poetic, wearable forms. Inspired by seaweed, plankton, and coral, the modular designs expand and flow across the body like organisms reclaiming space. Coloured with natural plant and fruit dyes, the pieces highlight the vibrancy and fragility of marine ecosystems. Designed to biodegrade, they invite reflection on impermanence and our relationship with adornment, offering an alternative narrative rooted in transformation, ecological responsibility, and the rhythms of the sea.
