About
Loossi Hou is an illustrator, graphic designer, and 2D animator. She has graduated from Maryland Institute College of Art by the year of 2026. Her work spans editorial, branding, advertising, and motion graphics. She enjoys using lines and shapes to capture the playful details of everyday life. Observing the world through her own perspective, she reinterprets and reconstructs it into distinctive visual expressions.
This project is a mixed-media installation that combines two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms through the use of wood, paper, and acrylic paint. In this installation, a wooden figure releases fragments of her inner world, which spread across the ground and flattens into images. The work reflects on the boundary and connections between volume and surface.
