Graduate from the University of Sussex, Bsc Product Design with an Industrial Placement Year.
My work centres around designing products made to last in our ever changing environments.
LUG. is a furniture construction system aimed to help young renters on the move. The objective is to allow easy transportation of bulky furniture through a simple to use joint system. It consists of 8 joints (LUG.s) that can be rearranged to create multiple pieces of furniture and requires no additional equipment to assemble. Some unique selling points are the ease of use, customisation, and the end of life recyclability. The system has been designed to be adaptable for changing living situations due to the modular design, as well as the ability to easily replace parts extending the product life span. Users are able to buy timber at local hardware stores due to the standardised sizing. This also presents the opportunity for the user to update the colour of their furniture to match interior design trends and tastes, ultimately helping to reduce the greater furniture waste issue.
