About
Hello! My name is Linn, a recent graduate from the MA program in design ecologies at Konstfack with another BA in industrial design from Umeå Institute of Design. I am an Industrial Designer based in Stockholm Sweden, passionate about social design for well-being and creating local value. I have a background also in arts, design engineering, marketing and PR.
For my MA project i worked with empowering the Swedish local housing communities ability to cooperate for social collectiveness and mutual aid. I worked with collaborative and participatory methods, involving the local citizens, housing communities, policy makers at the municipality and also national and international risk and crisis experts representing Ukraine, Sweden, Lithuania and Estonia. The project combines user research, futures thinking, field studies and workshops and has been offered to be pilot-tested in a European funded partnership program that I will work on.

hubbe: Shifting Crisis Preparedness from a Private Burden to Community Cooperation
Sweden requires citizens to be self-sufficient for seven days during crises caused from climate disruptions or war, but vulnerable housing, limited finances, and low neighbor cooperation leave many unable to prepare alone. Driven by participatory research with residents, municipalities, and crisis experts across Sweden, Estonia, and Ukraine, this project proposes a preventative, less focus on stockpiling, human network and community-centered alternative. The solution is HUBBE, a modular, self-charging furniture system and service for residential entrances. Functioning as an approachable social hub in everyday life and emergencies, it naturally fosters neighborhood cooperation, knowledge-sharing, and social cohesion while providing necessary emergency tools. Demonstrating its real-world potential, HUBBE and its international partners have applied for an EU-funded pilot program.
