Hi! I’m Lily, a Melbourne-based Communication Designer passionate about creating thoughtful design that connects people.I enjoy combining strong visual concepts with research and strategy to create work that is both visually considered and purposeful.
I have a particular love for print and the tactile qualities of physical design, from publications and packaging to experimental printed materials.Alongside my design practice, my experience in marketing, community engagement and small-business branding has given me a strong understanding of how design works beyond the visual.
I’m particularly interested in projects that explore culture, people and social issues, and I’m always looking for opportunities to push my creative thinking to explore new ways of communicating ideas.
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland: A Modern Reinterpretation
This publication is a contemporary reinterpretation of Lewis Carroll’s 'Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland', exploring themes of mental health and self-discovery while encouraging modern audiences to reconnect with the physical experience of print in an increasingly digital world. Developed in response to an International Society of Typographic Designers (ISTD) brief, the project uses experimental typography and visual storytelling to reimagine the narrative. Motifs from the original story are incorporated throughout the publication, creating connections between the familiar and the contemporary. UV printing was used to introduce tactile elements, while experimental binding techniques enhance the physical experience of the publication. The project was developed from concept through to production, including print preparation, document setup, printing and binding.
