About
I’m an interior designer who enjoys exploring how spaces can make people feel and how they can change the way we experience a place. I’m drawn to spaces with character, atmosphere and a story behind them, and I like looking at how existing spaces can be reimagined in new ways.
I enjoy experimenting with different ideas and mediums throughout my design process. I often start with sketches, collages, photography and other visual ways of putting my ideas down before developing them further into a space. I don’t always know where an idea will take me at the beginning, which is something I enjoy about the creative process. I’m interested in interior design, but also in photography, set and exhibition design and other creative areas that allow me to explore ideas in different ways.
I recently graduated with a BA (Hons) in Interior Design from Limerick School of Art and Design, and I’m excited to keep learning, experimenting and developing my own style as a designer.
Iveagh Theatre reimagines the historic Iveagh Markets in Dublin as a theatre and exhibition space, bringing new life to an existing building while keeping its character and history at the centre of the design. The project explores how theatre can become more immersive through a theatre in the round, bringing the audience closer to the performance and allowing the space to adapt to different events. Alongside the theatre, the exhibition space provides a setting for immersive installations and experiences. The design developed through sketches, collages, models and visual experiments, allowing me to explore atmosphere, form, materials and how people would move through and experience the space. I approached the existing building as an opportunity to create something new while maintaining a connection to its past.
