I’m Jennifer Stellwag, a fashion designer based in Hamburg, Germany, with a Master’s degree in Fashion Design from Hochschule Bielefeld. I create fashion where movement meets craftsmanship. I’m fascinated by transformation and the endless possibilities of reimagining materials, silhouettes and familiar fashion codes. My work is rooted in sustainability and driven by curiosity, experimentation and a strong sense of contrast. I bring together tradition and futurism, speed and stillness, rebellion and precision to create expressive garments that spark emotion, invite curiosity and tell a story.
DASH 89 explores the dialogue between protection and vulnerability. Inspired by Colombia’s Gravity Bikers, who build improvised vehicles from found materials and descend steep roads at extreme speeds without brakes, the collection translates this tension into a visual and tactile language. Motorsport aesthetics and established fashion archetypes are deconstructed, demonstrated and redesigned for a fictional post fossil future. Through upcycling and redesign, discarded materials associated with protection and vulnerability are transformed into expressive garments. Their fragility becomes a symbol of the human body, while contrasting textures and silhouettes reflect technological acceleration, environmental impact, risk and our complex relationship with progress.
