I am a fashion designer and graduate of Vilnius Academy of
Arts, with international experience from the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague
(KABK), and the costume workshops of the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet
Theatre.
My practice is driven by experimentation, strong
construction, and a fascination with sculptural form. Drawing from
architecture, sculpture, and scenography, I explore how proportion, volume, and
material can reshape the relationship between the body and the space around it.
I am particularly interested in complex construction and unconventional
solutions, approaching each project as an opportunity to challenge familiar
methods and develop a distinct visual language.
Unfading Traces explores what happens when architecture leaves the city and enters the space of the body. Inspired by Kaunas interwar modernism and the dynamics of light and shadow, the collection transforms architectural principles—volume, proportion, structure and space—into methods of pattern cutting, draping and construction. Rather than decorating the body with architectural references, I use the body as a structural foundation around which sculptural forms are built. Light and shadow become constructive elements, shaping volume alongside material and movement. The collection ultimately asks: can a garment create space around the body in the way architecture creates space around us?
